J. Period feat. Consequence and KiD CuDi- Buggin Out 2009.

Fellow G.O.O.D music label artists, Consequence and Cudders, hook up on this remake of the classic A Tribe Called Quest song.

After a short-lived fued between the two rappers, which was peacefully and maturely resolved, unlike most beef these days (see: Rick Ross and 50 Cent), it’s good to see the two talented lyricists together on a track.

The song is part of the J. Period’s upcoming release of his tribute to Q-Tip mixtape, The [Abstract] Vol. 1, which will be made available for a limited-time free download on http://www.jperiod.com, starting tomorrow.

In addition to Cons and CuDi, it will feature appearances from De La Soul, Zion I, Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch, and Blu among others.

No mixtape has ever boasted such a lineup, and no DJ has ever ventured to bring so many artists together for a single mixtape release. Hip hop’s unbridled creativity once thrived in these kinds of collaborations, and J.Period is determined to re-ignite that spirit.

Be sure to catch the mixtape when it drops, and in the meantime take a listen to the first released track.  Click HERE to watch the making of “Buggin Out 2009” on ConsTV.
