The Electric Company.

Don’t deny it.

Your two favorite shows back-in-the-day were probably Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood and The Electric Company.

Take a second and reminisce on the good old days, when you woke up and got excited about learning new words, instead of these days when you wake up now and learn more and more about the words recession, unemployment, and depression.

Well, today is a new day, just ask Common, Ne-yo, and Wyclef Jean. Following in the steps of actors like Morgan Freeman and Bill Cosby, these three artists have appeared on the newly resurrected version of The Electric Company.

We love it when artists do something educational for the kids.

While they may not have you giggling and singing along, always remember, “We’re gonna give you the power…”

Check out Ne-yo and Wyclef after the jump.

P.S. If you find the gigantic artifact, let us know.

Ne-yo creating new words with letter H (as in Harmonometer).

Wyclef teaching electric slide to some kids (aka future America’s Best Dance Crew).

You should know this by now.

  1. As I recall, when the electric company was originally on, words like recession, energy crisis, and unemployment was still pretty popular.
