T.I.’s CNN Interview.

Clifford Harris, better known to the rest of us, as T.I., after reaching a plea agreement was sentenced to one year and a day in prison stemming from his arrest in an October 2008 bust, where he was attempting to purchase a cache of machine guns and silencers shortly before the BET Awards.

Facing up to 30 years in the pen, which would have no doubt ended his career, T.I.’s attorney’s more than earned their fees in reaching this plea.  Clifford will also not have to start serving his sentence for a year while he fulfills the obligations of his guilty plea:

He’ll remain under strict bond conditions during that time, including wearing a G-P-S monitoring system, 3 years of supervised release, 1500 hours of community service, and $100,000 fine.

No doubt remorseful for his most recent actions, and his numerous previous run-ins with the law, T.I. recently completed his MTV reality show T.I’s Road to Redemption,  where he attempted to show 7 at-risk teens that there is “another way.” Quality programming, if you didn’t get a chance to see it.

The CNN interviewer’s first question for Cliff was “how many times have you been arrested?’ to which he could not put a number, but an estimate was given at somewhere around 32.

T.I.P has shown his remorse, and there’s a pretty good chance that the time in jail will allow him to come back with a bang and have some real dope music for us.  Keep ya head up, and remember kids, don’t try and buy a whole rack of machine guns in Atlanta.

You should know this by now.
